2. What is included with a guided fly fishing trip?
We provide all necessary fly fishing equipment, including rods, reels, flies, leaders and terminal tackle. Float trips also include the boat and safety equipment, and full-day trips include lunch. You’ll just need appropriate clothing and a valid Colorado fishing license.
3. Where does Colorado River Outfitters offer guided trips?
We guide some of Colorado’s premier trout waters, including the Colorado River, Eagle River and Roaring Fork River, with convenient access from Vail, Beaver Creek, Aspen and Glenwood Springs. Your guide will help determine the best water based on current conditions.
4. Are your fly fishing trips good for families and kids?
Absolutely. Family fishing trips are one of our specialties. Our patient guides enjoy introducing kids and first-time anglers to fly fishing while keeping the experience fun, safe and engaging for the entire family.
5. Should I book a half-day or full-day trip?
Half-day trips are excellent for beginners, families and anglers with limited vacation time. Full-day trips provide more time on the water, allow us to cover more river, and offer the best opportunity for anglers looking for the complete Colorado fly fishing experience.

We recommend booking as early as possible, especially during the peak summer season in Vail, Aspen and Glenwood Springs. Popular dates and our most requested guides can fill quickly, although last-minute availability is sometimes available.
