The Guadalupe River in Texas, a beloved destination for anglers, paddlers, and families alike, was recently devastated by severe flooding. In the aftermath of this natural disaster, communities along the river are reeling from damage to homes, businesses, and the river’s delicate ecosystem. In response, Guadalupe River Trout Unlimited (GRTU) launched the “Mend the River” campaign to provide direct relief to those affected and restore the river’s natural beauty and health.

💔 About the Flood
In early summer 2025, unprecedented storms tore through Central Texas, swelling the Guadalupe River beyond its banks. Entire sections of riverbank were washed away. Homes were flooded, businesses destroyed, and infrastructure severely damaged. The ecosystem — already fragile — took a heavy hit. What was once a thriving habitat for trout and a sanctuary for locals has become a scene of heartbreak and loss.
But with community, care, and action, we can help the Guadalupe flow strong again.
