We recommend purchasing your license BEFORE arriving for your trip. Buying it in advance saves time on the morning of your guided fly fishing adventure and helps ensure you're ready to get on the water.  Your guide will not allow you to fish without a valid Colorado fishing license.

 

What type of fishing license do I need?

Colorado offers one-day, additional-day, annual, and multi-day fishing licenses. Most visitors choose a one-day or multi-day nonresident fishing license, while Colorado residents often purchase an annual license. If you're unsure which option is best, we're happy to help.

Do I need to print my fishing license?

In most cases, a digital copy of your fishing license on your mobile device is acceptable, although having a printed copy is never a bad idea if you're concerned about battery life or cell service.

No. Fishing licenses must be purchased individually by each angler. However, we'll send you everything you need, including the correct link and simple instructions, so the process takes just a few minutes.

Don't worry—we'll remind you before your trip. If needed, most guests can quickly purchase their license online before meeting their guide, although we recommend completing it ahead of time to avoid any delays.

 

Is my fishing license valid on every river you guide?

Yes. A valid Colorado fishing license allows you to fish the public waters we guide, including the Colorado River, Eagle River, Roaring Fork River, Fryingpan River, and many other Colorado fisheries, subject to Colorado Parks and Wildlife regulations.
